Easter egg treasure hunt around the museum with a prize for all completed entries
On Easter Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday afternoons and the following weekends during
the Easter holidays, ask for a treasure hunt quiz, only 50p for each child.
George Ward exhibition in the Free Church Hall, Amersham on the Hill
Saturday 26 April 11am - 5pm and Sunday 27 April 1.30pm - 5pm
An opportunity to see a special display about George Ward, Amersham's local photographer,
and many of his unique photographs of the town between 1890 and 1930.
May weekends and Bank holiday Mondays - Ideas and Innovations
May is Museums Month. You are invited to visit your museum and join in with this year's theme
Ideas and Innovations
- Find out about Halstan, Amersham's pioneer music printers.
- Join in our family friendly "Ideas and Innovations" workshops on Bank Holiday Mondays from
2pm - 4.30 pm and make a clay model or paint a mask.
August activities
Every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday afternoons.
Come and see what's growing in the museum herb garden. Follow our trail to find out which plants
were used to make war-paint, flavour food, make medicines and dye cloth. And make a flower
or insect to add to our garden collage.
October weekends
Join in with 'The Big Draw' campaign during the school holidays in October by designing a pumpkin
lantern for Halloween or a mask for the Guy.
Family Friendly bags of fun are always available in the museum for children of all ages.
